Special: Best player in every NFL team – AFC East

One of the oldest series of the FA Today, every year I choose who is the best player in each of the 32 NFL teams. The interesting thing about this exercise is that it is not the most important thing, it is the athlete who, within his position, is the best. If he were to choose the guy who has the biggest responsibility in the success of his team would end up with almost all quarterbacks. If you don’t miss NFL preseason Broncos vs Falcons live stream online match, you can watch the NFL preseason opening game from here.

I’ll start with the division of the current champions, AFC East.
New England Patriots: Stephon Gimore, CB

This is a good example of what exercise is. Even not coming from a good year by his standards, Tom Brady is still the most important player of the New England Patriots. Stephon Gilmore, however, is a top player at the moment. Gilmore was the best cornerback in the NFL in 2018, performing at a very high level.
Miami Dolphins: Durval Queiroz Xavien Howard, CB

Xavien Howard took another leap forward in his evolution as a player and made a very good 2018, which earned him an excellent contract from the Miami Dolphins. Undoubtedly he is one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL and the most talented athlete in the Dolphins’ cast. For a while…
Buffalo Bills: Jerry Hughes, Edge

It was very difficult to choose the best player in Buffalo Bills. The team has many veterans in the defense who are not so well known and the basic stats do not catch the eye, but in the field has an excellent performance. Jerry Hughes is one of those. At age 30, Hughes led the NFL in efficiency as a pass rusher (taking into account sacks, hits and pressures divided by the number of snaps in which he was behind the opponent’s QB).
New York Jets: Jamal Adams, S

Jamal Adams does everything a safety needs and does it at a high level. In the discussion as the best player of his position throughout the NFL, Adams is a great leader in the Jets defense and will be the cornerstone of the team on that side of the ball as Sam Darnold is in attack.

In this issue of the Podcast FA Today our team reviewed Carson Wentz’s contract renewal and impact on the rest of the NFL. In the second part of the program we continue our series of Top 5, this time looking for the linebackers.
